Rope Training

 

 

Team members practice setting up rope systems for slope extraction during a day long training exercise on January 21. Thanks to the generosity and expertise of Randy Breau the team is now better equipped and trained for dealing with difficult slope extractions.

 

Dieppe Search

On December 25, 2011, the Codiac RCMP, Tri County Search and Rescue, RCMP Air Services Section and the Codiac Police Dog Services conducted an extensive ground and air search rescue after a 20-year-old man from Dieppe was reported missing.

The man was located in need of medical attention in a wooded area of the northeast part of Moncton at approximately 1:20 pm. Ambulance NB and the Moncton Fire Department used off-road equipment to rescue the man. He was brought to the Moncton Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Foul play is not suspected.

 

2011 President's Award

The President's Award is given in recognition of exceptional contribution to the administration and readiness activities of the team. This year's President's Award was awarded jointly to Stella Walker, Treasurer and Duane Miller, Vice-President for Human Resources.
 

2011 Dedication & Initiative Award

The Dedication and Initiative Award is presented in recognition of a member's outstanding contribution to the operational effectiveness of the Team.This year's recipient Craig Winsor, known to the team for his outstanding record of search attendance, hours of work helping with training new members and contributing to the Search Operations Management Committee.
