Tri-County was called out on Monday Nov 30, for a mutual assist request from the RCMP and Sussex GSAR team. Two persons in their mid 20’s were reported missing over the weekend. They reported vehicle trouble while travelling through the back roads off highway 111 then all communications were lost. With little information to go on a search was initiated that covered a large area, requiring many people and equipment including the RCMP Helicopter, ATV’s and 4x4 vehicles. Numerous volunteers, including friends and family, with 4x4 vehicles and ATV’s had turned out to help. Thankfully the two managed to walk out of the woods on their own Monday afternoon; they were tired cold and hungry but otherwise in good health.
