Welcome to Tri-County GSAR

RCMP in Perth-Andover are suspending the ground search for a woman who has been missing since last week, however investigators will continue to follow all leads that may help find her. Over the past several days, searchers have conducted an exhaustive search, covering 500 acres and 800 kilometers of trails and roads. A military search and rescue helicopter from CFB Greenwood in Nova Scotia and a Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) fixed-wing aircraft also participated in the search.

73-year-old Martha Kelly left for a walk on June 8, 2012, at around 5 p.m., but never returned to her East Riverside Drive apartment in Perth-Andover. Kelly was reported missing to police the following day. She is said to have no medical issues other than short term memory loss. She left her apartment without her purse or any money, so police do not believe she was planning to leave the area.

Martha Kelly is described as having a medium build, being about 5'3' tall, and weighing approximately 150 lbs. She has blue eyes and short grey/white hair. She wears glasses and was last seen wearing a black jacket and navy pants.

The RCMP would like to thank all those who assisted with the search, including search and rescue teams from Edmundston, Plaster Rock, Woodstock, Fredericton, and Miramichi, along with the Perth Andover Fire Department, the Department of Natural Resources and the Province of New Brunswick's Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement Unit. The RCMP would also like to thank members of the public who have provided information to investigators.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the RCMP at 506-473-9154 or 1-888-506-RCMP (7267). Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at www.crimenb.ca, or 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
